Benue State Zonal Inspector, Mr. Moses Ogah has told corps members to speak out when not comfortable in their various PPAs and also not to suffer in silence.
The Zonal Inspector communicated this during his visit to the Editorial and Publicity CDS group at the NYSC secretariat on Thursday. He urged corps members to abide by the rules of NYSC to save them from troubles.
"When u are hurt, Let someone know. There's no way we can know your predicament if you don't tell us. We'd guide you how to get out of the issues challenging you. Speak out when in distress," he added
The local government Inspector, Mrs. Comfort Hua also visited the Editorial and Publicity CDS group, advising corps members to always attend meetings promptly, stating that there are grievous consequences attached when a single meeting is avoided by a corps member without cogent reason.
She further urged the corps members to write letters and attach relevant documents stating reasons for their absence before absconding from meetings. She also told corps pregnant women to apply for their extensive leave a month before expected delivery date.
"Try to read the Orientation and service guide you were given in camp. It is important to guide you through your service year." She said. The local government inspector went on to announce dates for corps members clearance adding that there will be no extension to such dates.
"2017 Batch B 1 & 2 corps members will have their clearance on Monday, 3rd of September, 2018 Batch A on Tuesday, 4th of September, 2018 Batch B on either 3rd or 4th (Monday or Tuesday) of September."
