Four Corps members escaped death as overhead water tank from neighbouring compound fell into their apartment, rendering them homeless in Tyokua Akya First Avenue off Vandeikya street, high level, Makurdi.
Speaking with the victim, Blessing Etim expressed profound gratitude to God for leading him out with his friends to watch football match at the time the incident occurred.
He said the unfortunate incident has rendered him homeless as everything in the house, including his certificate and phones got soaked.
Other victims, Obichukwu Okakpu, Precious Owie and Favour Ihioma, thanked God Almighty for spearing their lives, as just after twenty minutes of stepping out, the disaster befell their building.
The occupant of the building, Commander Mark Abashi, thanked God for their lives and promised the corp members he will commence repair immediately, pointing out that the cause of the disaster is what they do not know yet.
Correspondent Chioma Ukor, reports that the corp members were homeless as the room was flooded and electrified.
